Fabric softener. Why have I never used this before now?! It’s always been an extra luxury that I’ve never spent money on. But wow, I love how everything comes out so soft and sweet smelling. It makes folding clothes and doing laundry extra nice. I feel like this brand is very affordable and totally worth the money. This has become a new routine in my laundry since moving and I love it so much.
This YouTube channel. My daughter and I have been enjoying watching some of these videos this week in the afternoons. I always love to see glimpses of other people’s homes and lives and it’s fun to see young wives taking pride in their homes.
This new addition to my wardrobe for spring and summer. I love the fit and the quality seems very good so far. It’s hard for me to find skirts that aren’t above the knee for summer and this was perfect. Very cute and trendy while still modest and comfortable. This was the first time I’ve ordered from this website but I was very pleased with what I got.
Dreaming up simple ways to tweak our home or decorate it inexpensively. I like to plan out things and research it and then make a list so that I can just move down the list and slowly purchase the items I want over time and I don’t get distracted or discouraged by the process taking awhile to fully come together. As tempting as it is to buy everything at once, I know that accumulating the things I want over time is much better and it doesn’t screw our budget up. I have been enjoying the planning process a lot. These are some of the first items I want to purchase to organize my spices.
Cleaning my home. This week I did a deep clean on the children’s bedrooms and the upstairs. I washed windows, walls, and baseboards. It’s always so amazing how fresh and airy everything feels once it’s cleaned.
We enjoyed going to a dinosaur museum with friends and a picnic lunch afterwards. We all had a blast! What a privilege to have good friends and to invest time into friendships.
Walmart grocery pickup. Given that we live over an hour from the closest Walmart, I have started using it the last couple months to save time on our town runs. I was extra thankful for it this week when I picked up a huge grocery haul by myself with the children and I was very glad to not have to brave Walmart inside to get what we needed.
YNAB. This is a new addition to our budgeting the last several months. I have considered trying it for years and would throw the option out every time. I like pen and paper, I’m not a tech person, and other apps had never worked for me before. Also, YNAB cost money. You know me, i just don’t spend a lot of money. I will probably do a financial update and post about it soon, but let me just say WE LOVE IT! I think it is totally worth the money now that I’ve used it.
Putting together my list for my summer wardrobe and browsing capsule wardrobe ideas. I just love seeing the outfits people can make from just a few simple pieces.
Early mornings. As spring lengthens into summer, the mornings become even more beautiful to me. Early morning sunshine, listening to the birds sing, opening the curtains, and sitting down with a cup of fresh coffee is so special to my heart. Those quiet moments before the house stirs and children start tumbling down the stairs with cheery “Good Mornings” and happy smiles. Those moments in the morning refresh my soul and there is no other time of the day quite like it.

I always feel like it's such a good thing to end the week with thankfulness and to review all of our blessings. I enjoy looking back over the last week and remembering all the things that made me smile or warmed my heart. I believe it is so good to train our hearts to see and appreciate the goodness in our lives.
What are some things you enjoyed this week? I’d love to hear!
I can't see the blog post.
I love this post! I’m loving the fact that I’m taking a social media break. I would love to hear your thoughts on YNAB!
